60 Seconds With Alexandra Vinall
As the newest member of The County Club, Guildford, what benefits do you believe The County Club will have on your professional business life?
The County Club, being central to Guildford is a well-respected establishment with a fantastic network of like-minded individuals working locally. Having the opportunity to engage with other County Club members is incredibly valuable as you are able to access a wealth of knowledge in every area of businesses. From solicitors and well respected estate agents to accountants and professionals working in the media sector.
Can you tell me about TUCA?
The Unique Communications Agency, affectionately known as TUCA to its clients, established in 2008 as a traditional PR agency.
Over the last 7 years PR has changed dramatically, which meant in 2009 TUCA spotted the trend in how people were engaging with media. It was no longer just print but online news and social media channels. It was at this point I realised the business would need to adapt and not only deliver traditional PR but a combination of PR, Social Media, Marketing, Events and adapting writing for web copy as well as print copy. This has been notably, a fundamental success of the business.
In 2013 TUCA was headhunted by M&G to manage the takeover from Westfield and their purchase of The Friary Centre in Guildford. TUCA was chosen for our local knowledge, media connections and long-standing reputation in Surrey.
I’m passionate about local business and regularly engage one-to-one social media training sessions for local businesses and I enjoy sharing my knowledge in social media and online customer engagement and marketing.
Do you find there is a social element to being a member of The County Club?
